A few weekends ago, friends and I helped throw a shower for our friend, who is due with her first child any day now. We went with a woodlands theme and had SO much fun planning and decorating. I ended up making these adorable fox, squirrel, and hedgehog cookies to go with the theme and I love how they turned out!
How is your fall going so far? Is it filled with pumpkin everything (guilty!), football, gorgeous leaves, and all the fall desserts? Because mine totally is. My fall is SO full of football that I almost missed the opportunity to meet one of my all time favorite bloggers due to one of our games happening at the exact same time as her book signing (WHY?!). I ordered it right after finding out I could attend her book signing, and thanks to the super speed of Amazon Prime shipping, I got it just in time! Continue reading

Because he and his family were new to Minnesota, I wanted to welcome them to our state with this lovely cookie. Plus, it was a great excuse to add another cookie cutter to my ever growing collection. I love food, I always have. I can remember a time when I was really little, helping my dad bake Christmas cookies listening to Porky the Pig sing I’ll Have a Blue Christmas. Does anyone remember this? It was definitely on the list of weird Christmas songs. Every year we’d make a TON of cookies for our little four member family, and eat for them for months it seemed. This was my initial introduction into cooking. Continue reading
